8/1 Anti-ICE Sick Out
We’re sick of ICE, and we’re partnering with General Strike US Carolinas, 50501 SC, 50501 NC, and ILM-AN for a national anti-ICE Sick Out strike day.
On August 1, join the nationwide one-day sick-out to take a stand against ICE and its systemic harm to migrant communities. This action is a powerful, collective refusal to be complicit in family separations, detentions, and deportations.
Every hour worked generates revenue for the oligarchs. Taking that away and living our lives on our terms costs them money and takes back power.
Workers, students, artists, organizers, and community members across the country will call out sick to disrupt business as usual — as we say NO to deportations, detention, and ICE violence.
OUR DEMANDS- An end to ICE and its system of kidnappings disguised as deportations
- Defund ICE and invest in community safety, housing, and care
- End workplace raids and local police collaboration with immigration enforcement
- Provide permanent legal status and protections for all undocumented people
This sick-out is not just a protest. It’s a strategic test of our collective strength as we build toward larger actions, including a general strike.
Whether you’re organizing a local event, attending a protest, or simply taking the day to reflect and amplify the cause, every participant adds to the momentum.
Together, we’re growing a solidarity movement.
This sick-out protest is the first official work stoppage as we build towards a general strike.
🚨On Aug 1, we’re saying no to business as usual. Join us.
We’ll meet upstairs at The Mercantile (153 E White St. Rock Hill) at 1pm Friday, August 1, to come together in community, write post cards, and discuss upcoming actions — and then we’ll march to Ralph Norman’s office together and hand deliver our cards and letters.
