African Women Summit: “Rights. Justice. Action: Advancing Women’s Political Leadership in Africa"

The Africa Governance Centre developed the Africa Women Political Leadership Summit (AWPLS) with the conviction that inclusive leadership that places women at the epicentre is essential to the continent’s transformation. AWPLS brings together women who shape national decisions, lead reform, and influence policy at the highest levels to deliberate on effective governance and sustainable development. It aims to redefine leadership, positioning women’s authority in politics as central to Africa’s economic transformation. At its core is the belief that leadership gains legitimacy and relevance when it reflects the full diversity and intelligence of the societies it serves.

Brenda Anugwom of the Nigerian Women Trust Fund will be a speaker at this event.
