Boulder Creek Free America Weekend

Independence Day is about the fight for freedom. The American Revolution was a stand against tyranny and kings. That same spirit has lived on.

We in the San Lorenzo Valley have had to overcome difficult conditions for years! Those conditions may have been: COVID, fires, floods, or just a tree down in the road, but time and time again we've stood together in times of need and helped one another. That is AMAZING, and we need to do it again.

This July 4th weekend, while the U.S. marks Independence Day, we’ll gather across the country—on porches, in town squares, backyards, and streets—to stand for real freedom and build a vision of a Free America brick by brick. 

On July 4th we want to follow up on the great protest that we held a few weeks ago.  Like yourself, we have been wondering what the next steps are. Yes, there will be more protests, there will be more boycotts, there will be other non-violent actions to take. But this July 4th we want to show that protesters can have some fun too!

The most important thing to do right now is this -- show solidarity.  We need to establish and grow our personal and local business connections. On July 4th, please wear a white arm band. If you don't have white, improvise.  Wear it to the parade, wear it shopping, wear it gardening. When you see someone else with an armband, do not forget to say "Hi, I care about this community too"!

They want us scared, divided, and alone. 
We are fearless, organized and in a fellowship of neighbors.

This Fourth of July, we will be in the streets showing that we still believe in the dream. The dream that American freedom belongs to all of us, and we will not stop in our pursuit of its promise, now or ever.
