Downtown Bozeman: Meet at the Gallatin County Courthouse at Main and 3rd
On January 20 at 2:00 PM, people across the country will withdraw their labor and walk out together as a visible act of solidarity and resistance.
If you’d like to walk in community, gather at the Courthouse at 2:00 PM. Bring a sign that reflects what you are walking out for—or walking away from. Those who are able are invited to walk together along Main Street, from the Courthouse to Rouse and back, before we wrap up at 3:00 PM.
This walkout is part of the Free America Walkout, led nationally by the Women’s March and the 50501 movement.
WHY WE WALK One year into Trump’s second term, our communities are facing escalating threats to our freedoms—through fear, division, surveillance, and violence aimed at silencing dissent. In response, we choose to stand together, withdraw our participation in systems of harm, and make our presence—and our values—visible.
Past marches have shown our collective power. This walkout is about taking the next step: disrupting business as usual, strengthening community bonds, and affirming our commitment to care, dignity, and justice.
This is both a protest and a promise.
★ We walk away from fascism. ★ We walk toward a Free America. ★ We fight for a future that belongs to all of us. ★ Everybody in. Nobody out.
Welcome to the Free America Walkout.
A core principle behind all Indivisible Bozeman events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events.
