Brave Women National Weekend of Action

The SAVE Act and similar measures would create deliberate unnecessary hardship for women to be able to vote. Join us on March 6th as part of the Brave Women National Weekend of Action to speak out against these types of measures and in support of women's rights!

We will meet outside the Library prior to our walk where we will collect items for the Library's period pantry.

At 4pm we will begin walking past 191 Court St. (Phelps Mansion) where suffragettes were met with opposition by the Monday Afternoon Club.

We will cross the street and walk past 192 Court St. (St. Mary's) where in 1913 the New York State Woman Suffrage Association Convention was held. We'll continue down the street and pass 112-144 Court St. the former site of the Broome County Woman Suffrage Party.

We'll end at the Courthouse at 92 Court. St. where we will display our signs representing women's impact and bravery!
