CLT Naked Emperor Rally and March

Join us for an event to remember as we join forces with multiple partners to make some noise in Charlotte. Let’s show that this would-be emperor truly wears no clothes by joining this nationwide protest rejecting authoritarianism, billionaire-first politics, and the militarization of our democracy.

Due to overwhelming interest in this event, we will now be gathering at First Ward Park for the 11:00 rally, where we'll listen to community speakers and then march through Uptown Charlotte! The March route is approximately 1.4 miles. Join us for the rally, the march or both.

Due to limited free parking in the area, we are encouraging attendees to use Lynx light rail to arrive at this event. The closest stop is 7th Street Station, a short walk from the park. There are several paid parking decks in the vicinity with 7th Street Station Parking Garage being the closest with handicapped parking. Additional portable restrooms will be present at the park for our event.

We are partnering with Drumstrong to provide rhythm and drums for encouragement and support during our march, and we will be offering some additional noise makers to you to use. Please bring water bottles, any snacks you may need and remember to wear your sunscreen! Additional water and snacks will be available along with a first aid station. Marshals in neon vests will be available to answer your questions or assist along the way.
