Chattanooga for Reproductive Freedom

Join us on Saturday, October 8th for a national day of action to help us send the message: Chattanooga demands reproductive freedoms for all.

We will peacefully rally, march and organize for the upcoming election. Bring signs, family, friends and your voices.

This is an official partnership with the New Suffragettes, please check out their website and get involved here: https://www.newsuffragettes.net/

The plan for October 8th:

12:00pm - meet at the outdoor stage in Coolidge Park to peacefully rally (see the map location)
12:30pm - march on the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge towards downtown (approximately 0.7 miles)
1:00pm - pause for sign-holding at the downtown side of the Walnut Street Bridge
1:30pm - Turn around and march back along the Walnut Street Bridge to Big Chill and Grill (approximately 0.8 miles)
2:00pm - organizing for the November midterms at Big Chill: networking, connect with organizations, discuss volunteer opportunities.

Security Details:
-The City of Chattanooga is aware of the event. The City has notified nearby events so they are aware that we are in the area
-The City has notified CPD of our event and CPD will monitor social media ahead of time for counter-protestor activity
-We have shortened the march route to avoid as much vehicle traffic as possible. While marching along roads with car traffic, we will remain on the sidewalk at all times
-Marshals will be identified before the march to help guide us and maintain a slow and steady speed

Additional Details:
-Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water
-Free street parking is available on Walnut Street and Cherry Street in downtown, paid parking is available at Coolidge Park or metered spots on Frazier Ave. (~$1/hr)
-The full march route is ADA compliant

Early voting for the November election is October 19th-November 3rd, Election Day is November 8th. In Chattanooga, we’ll be voting for TN Governor, US Representative (district 3), TN Representatives (districts 26 and 28), amendments to our state constitution, and more.
