UPDATE: The DOJ has appealed the abortion pill case, asking the Supreme Court to intervene. If SCOTUS doesn't block the restrictions on mifepristone mentioned below by April 19, they will take effect across the country.

A federal judge in Texas banned mifepristone (the pill used in the majority of abortions) in all 50 states. The decision slated to go into effect April 14 was appealed.
Then on April 13, the 5th Circuit Court in New Orleans declined to suspend approval of mifepristone, but left substantial restrictions in place:
- Can't be mailed
- Three visits to doctor needed
- Only doctors can administer
- Can't obtain after 7 weeks of pregnancy
This is the most devastating blow to abortion access since Roe was overturned last summer, and we need to respond now with even more fury. While this decision may not take effect immediately and will be appealed, we know we can't trust the Supreme Court to overturn this illegitimate ruling.
If you've been sitting on the sidelines, now is the time to rise up and fight! We need to be in the streets in massive numbers, making our outrage heard and showing the fascist right wing that we're not backing down.
