We all fight for different reasons, but we fight for the same cause: to defend our rights and our future.
The Festival of Resistance will start at 5p with a community discussion
At 7p the festivities will begin!
If you are seeking solidarity with others who are facing the same fears and restrictions as you, if you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours, that books belong in libraries, not on bonfires, that healthcare is a right, not a privilege for the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and the importance of unity against a system that seeks to divide and destroy our will to sustain democracy; or if you are simply feeling isolated and helpless in the face of unfathomable adversity, this community based and organized event is for you.

Dayton's Festival of Resistance, in partnership with The People’s March, is about one thing: our collective power.
This act of resistance hopes to:
- Unite the people who’ve been the backbone of resistance for generations—and to welcome even more
- Remind our civil servants they answer to us
- Inspire, energize, and drive change long after the day is done.
This is our moment to remind Washington elites — and Americans everywhere — where the power truly lives: with the people.
