Free America - Real Patriots Defend the Constitution

Please note that this is a creative action, not a large group protest, rally, or march. We're looking for up to 50 people to help us promote the spirit of freedom through music, chanting, waving an American flag, holding up preprinted signs that display key excerpts from the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution, and/or reading these excerpts aloud. This action is located at Historic Pack Square next to Biltmore Avenue.

CELEBRATE THE FREEDOMS THAT WE ARE (ONCE AGAIN) FIGHTING FOR.

Independence Day is about the fight for freedom. The American Revolution was a stand against tyranny and kings. That same spirit has lived on—from the Boston Tea Party to the Underground Railroad, from Stonewall to the Civil Rights Movement.

This July 4th weekend, while the U.S. marks Independence Day, a group of us will gather in the public square to celebrate those who fought for the freedoms that are enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution. We will stand with the freedom fighters who came before us and everyone across the country who wants to restore our freedoms now. 

They want us scared, divided, and alone. They don’t want us to dream about regaining freedom for all. But that’s exactly what we have to do.

During this creative action, we'll celebrate joyfully, with music, chanting, and reading key parts of the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution. We'll be waving our American flags with pride as we show that real patriots defend the constitution and speak up for everyone's freedom.
