Free America (Vero Beach, FL) Walkout with a View
[Walk out America women's march is NOT limited to women!]
As neighbors we will meet by 1:45pm, gathering (near northeast corner of the bridge) to turn our backs, walk out on fascism, and reorient our perspective. Come for some fresh air and a refreshed view.
As clocks turn 2:00pm we plan to be walking up both sides of the Merill P. Barber Bridge; to the crest and back (public sidewalks, no disruption of traffic).
We will walk out because a Free America needs neighbors to stop cooperating with behavior that increases anxiety, drives us to fear, accepts harassment of the most vulnerable and is unjust. We walk out together as thoughtful people in a time that seeks to divide communities. We walk out as a collective act of creative peaceful resistance -- an empowering witness that our values, rights, and freedoms are non-negotiable.
Clear your mind, Refresh your view of the neighborhood and Block the normal routines of power. Make the stakes real this January 20, 2pm, in solidarity with the Women's March, 50501, and other grassroots organizations; please join the Free America Walkout.
