Call for International Women*s Strike – March 9
We invite all women* to join the strike on March 9 and speak their “enough.”

In the future, we want to connect with feminist movements in the United States, build solidarity, and collaborate across borders.
📸 Take a photo or video of your action on March 9!
We will share your contributions on Instagram and on our website to make our collective resistance visible.

ENOUGH! BASTA! IT’S TIME FOR A GLOBAL WOMEN* GENERAL STRIKE
We are extending International Women’s Day, Sunday, March 8, 2026, by adding a day of strike on Monday, March 9. Threatening times demand sharper tools than petitions and patient demonstrations. We will lay down both paid and unpaid work and call for diverse forms of protest and action, each according to her possibilities.
GLOBAL, because women’s rights are under attack worldwide +++ STRIKE, because for women* it has always been the most powerful non-violent tool against capitalism and patriarchy +++ GENERAL STRIKE, because injustice affects all areas of our lives — we are facing a general assault on our bodies, our souls, and our minds.
In May 2025, four women in Berlin, Germany — connected only by mutual respect — spoke out publicly about what we all know from countless conversations with other women*: disbelief, powerlessness or disempowerment, exhaustion, and anger in the face of a world in crisis, largely caused by one gender. This formed a collective outcry: ENOUGH! BASTA! YETER! ENOUGH!
ENOUGH! of endless wars, driven by autocrats against opposing voices, human rights, international law, and freedom of expression and the press. BASTA! to those who deny climate catastrophe, exploit people and nature, and build up unimaginable wealth and power. It is time for a loud, collective ENOUGH!
Sitting, lying down, singing, screaming out loud for one minute, dancing, picnicking : Mobilizing the wealth of ideas, in public and protected spaces, centrally and decentrally, we show our ENOUGH! and make our global collective strength visible Those who can, take the whole day. Together we create a global moment from 12 to 2 p.m., following the path of the sun. Every ENOUGH! counts. Join one of the events, create your own strike action, find your regional group — or start one yourself.
