Government Of The People, By The People, For The People

As Nevada’s 83rd Legislative Session winds down, it's imperative we remind our elected representatives they agreed to be part of a "government of the people, by the people, and for the people". This phrase, famously delivered by Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, following the Battle of Gettysburg, serves as a concise definition of democracy. It emphasizes that the government's power originates from the people, is exercised by the people, and is ultimately intended to serve the interests of the people.

With the 2026 elections right around the corner, it's important to stand up, speak out, and become citizen lobbyists to benefit our state and all its inhabitants. It truly is our voices that count!

Please join us as we rally on Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, in front of the Legislative Building at 400 S. Carson St, Carson City, NV. While we focus on a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, you’re encouraged to bring signs reflecting those violations of the Constitution that directly affect you, your family, and friends.

Please dress for the weather, bring any snacks or drinks (non-alcoholic) you'll need.

Bans Off Our Bodies is a non-partisan group focusing on issues that affect our Constitution, and the rights guaranteed to us. Our goal is to speak up on important social issues, fight for the rights guaranteed to us in the Constitution and affect changes in the economic impact of the recent loss of our rights.

Our Principles:

·         Peaceful gatherings: Bans Off Our Bodies rallies are peaceful, and any negativity or violence will not be tolerated.
·         Citizen participation: We believe in the power of citizen lobbyists to effect change.
·         Constitutional rights: Our focus is on defending the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Join us in standing up for our rights and making our voices heard. Together, we can make a difference!
