GR Women's Day

The policies set forth in Project 2025 aim to harm us all, specifically women and minorities, much like what happens in the Handmaid's Tale
Where; on the sidewalks around and across from Devos Hall
Why; the DeVos family are one of the main billionaires behind Project 2025 and funding the Heritage Foundation directly. Project 2025 is designed to harm women and minorities via policy and taking away our voting power
What; bring a sign and a friend, tell everyone and share this event if you can, it will be the beginning of continued protests against DeVos and their billionaire buddies

We will gather, I will give a short speech, and then we will chant and have fun for about an hour or so, come and go as you need to depending on the weather

How can I help?
Donation request; we will be collecting toiletries and general hygiene items (male and female) to donate to our local food pantries like Secom, the mini pantry at Lotus Brew Coffee shop, and hopefully others if we get enough to share!

If you are not able to attend, please consider supporting your local pantries and community organizations doing the work to keep us safe! We all have mutual aid requests we need help with that go directly towards helping families here in GR!

The start of 2026 made one thing painfully clear: this administration (and it's billionaire funders) thinks they are above the law. We’ve watched cruelty become policy, chaos masquerade as leadership, and power exercised without accountability.

And still, women have stood up.

This moment calls for more of us to be brave.

This International Women's Day, let's be brave together. Take action in your community to demonstrate women's collective power to resist, the impact of our noncompliance, and our will to build a better world.
