International Women's Day - Parents Unite at the Playground! - San Diego

Are you a parent or caregiver that wants to unite and resist but you have kids and/or still deal with naps so it makes it hard to join or take action?

We've got you! We're going to lean into the UNITE part of International Women's Day and focus on creating community with likeminded parents and caregivers who are concerned about the future and want to take action for their kiddos while at the playground with our kids!

Fascists want us divided. We’re coming together. Bring your coffee and your kids to the playground - as time allows, come check out our table on ways to take fast action through letters to elected officials with a few clicks from your phone, or to plug into community in other ways!

If you're able to join one of the protests/rallies happening at 11am, all the better!

Our Goals:

1. Show parents there is space in the resistance for them - and we need them to show up!

2. Show how easy it is to take action - even amidst parenting

3. Make new connections with likeminded parents to foster a sense of belonging, compelling us to continue taking actions in solidarity with each other

4. Show that protests can be peaceful and family friendly and use current events to teach our kids topics about empathy, racism, equal rights and emphasize why it’s so important right now.
