EVENT DESCRIPTION:
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
We all march for different reasons, but we march for the same cause: to defend our rights and our future.
This year, we invite you to join us at the Dr. King Parade in the Historic Town of Eatonville as we walk in celebration of Dr. King's life and the values he championed. Together, we will march to honor his dream of justice, equity, and freedom for all.
If you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours, that books belong in libraries—not on bonfires, that healthcare is a right, not a privilege for the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and protest to sustain democracy; or if you want an economy that works for the people who power it—then this event is for you.
- We march to unite the people who’ve been the backbone of resistance for generations—and to welcome even more
- We march to remind civil servants they answer to us
- We march to inspire, energize, and drive change long after the day is done.
This won’t be a traditional rally followed by a march. Instead, we’ll be gathering at the staging location for Eatonville’s Dr. King Celebration, walking in solidarity as part of the historic parade. Together, we’ll honor Dr. King’s legacy while carrying signs and materials to engage and inspire those watching along the parade route.
As we approach Dr. King Day and the Presidential Inauguration on Monday, this is our moment to stand united, amplify our voices, and reaffirm our commitment to justice, equity, and freedom for all.
