 Why We Walk Out

we walk out because our voices are being ignored.

Across this country, the Trump administration has pushed policies that directly harm students, families, and our communities. From attacks on public education to attempts to silence young people, we are being told to sit down, stay quiet, and accept injustice. We refuse.

ICE is tearing families apart. Our neighbors are being taken from their homes, their schools, and their workplaces. No student should have to fear that a parent won’t come home. No community should live under constant intimidation.

We are walking out not to cause disruption, but to demand dignity. We believe schools should be places of safety, not fear. We believe students have the right to speak out when our futures are threatened. We believe immigrants belong here.

This walkout is peaceful. It is intentional. It is an act of solidarity with those who are being targeted and silenced.

We walk out because staying silent is no longer an option.
