May 1st, May Day is Lei Day, Love for our Community Rally and Protest to protect our community
Democracy in the United States is under threat but we will never yield to fascism. We stand together and fight back in defense of our rights, our communities, and our values!
Even though we live on a tiny island it can be hard to find people who feel the same way. If you've been feeling lonely without a place to go, we're here for you!
On May Day is Lei Day we will show up to Rally and Protest to protect Kaua'i from the current administration. We will make Leis at events all week long so that we can show up in beautiful leis with our protest signs to show our love for our community. We are here to protect your Social Security or Medicare programs, show respect for Nurses and Teachers, support our Veterans, and fight for women's rights. This is your chance to make a sign that you can identify with. We will have some extra signs at 4 pm start time, but we won't have enough for everyone, so we hope you will create a message you can identify with and sign wave with pride and love. This is a peaceful demonstration to celebrate each other. Show up with your signs and your Lei and help us to celebrate our Kaua'i Community.
