Valentine’s Day used to be about cards.
About saying to someone: “You matter. I see you.”

At Kruger Pines, many of our elders no longer have someone who shows up for them that way.

So this Valentine’s Day, we’re opening the doors so neighbors and families can come meet the seniors who live here — not to “help,” not to fix anything, but simply to connect.

From those conversations, we’ll learn what people actually need over the coming year — rides, groceries, check-ins, help with appointments, a coffee buddy, someone to call when something breaks, or just someone who knows their name.

Between now and Christmas, our goal is simple:

👉 Make sure every elder here is connected to at least one family or neighbor who has their back.

That’s the Love Bank.

No forms.
No agencies.
No gift cards.
No programs.

Just relationships.

This is not a fundraiser.
Not a service intake.
Not a volunteer recruitment drive.

It’s a living room — expanded to a whole neighborhood.

It’s a place where seniors and families meet, talk, laugh, and start small connections that quietly grow into real support.

• Families and neighbors who have a little time, a little care, or a little extra capacity
• Seniors who’d like to meet people outside their building
• Anyone who believes no one should grow old feeling invisible

Kids are welcome. Curiosity is enough.

🕒 What Will Happen

• Arrive, grab a snack, say hello
• Sit with a senior, hear a story, share yours
• Write down what they say they need (or don’t need)
• Match gently, naturally — no pressure
• Leave knowing a real person a little better than before
