Missouri Reproductive Justice Town hall: We Have Nothing To Lose But Our Chains

Reale Justice Network invites you to join us for the Inaugural Missouri Reproductive Justice Convening with an empowering virtual town hall, bringing together advocates, activists, and community members dedicated to advancing our safety and sovereignty.
It’s been two years since Roe v. Wade was overturned. Year after year we have taken to the streets to demand our rights. We have shown up to fight bad policies and legislation that would impact the most marginalized communities. This also marks two years since we marched to the Supreme Court in DC with our reproductive justice sibling across the country to declare “Black Bodies For Black Power”. We held space for our community when Roe fell and we are still here working here fighting for our full bodily autonomy. Missouri has been especially busy with trying to disregard the will of the people. Through attacks on the ballot initiative process, voting rights and trans children, Missouri has led in efforts to control our bodies and silence our voices. On June 24th we will host a Reproductive Justice Town Hall entitled, “ We Have Nothing To Lose But On Chains” Come learn about the reproductive landscape in Missouri from Black leaders who are rooted in the work.
Pamela Merrit will join Justice Gatson to dive into a deeper understanding of the Reproductive Justice landscape in Missouri and the critical legal and social implications of the Missouri Abortion Initiative Petition. We will also hear from boots-on-the-ground Reproductive Justice leaders offering insights and strategies for community organizing and mobilization.
