NYC East 4th Street Walkout and Sit Down
On January 20 from 3pm-5 pm, we will be holding a East 4th Street Walkout and Sit Down on the sidewalks of East 4th Street between Bowery and Second Ave. We will be lining the sidewalks with chairs and inviting everyone to come have a Sit Down with us. In keeping with the aims of Free America Walkout, this is a chance to sit-in against fascism, hold promise for a future that belongs to all of us and have a good old community porch sit.
Drop by anytime between 3- 5pm. There will be information tables, sign-making supplies and hot drinks at FABnyc, 70 East 4th and at La Mama, 66 East 4th.
The East 4th Street Walkout and Sit Down will be followed by a Begin the Year with Care...Cafe at La Mama, 74 East 4th from 5-7pm. A Care Café is simply a time and a place to gather with no specific agenda, expectation, or discussion topic. It's simply spending time together asking the question: How can we maintain an attitude of care in an uncaring world?
After you Walkout and Sit Down, please Walk IN and join us at the Begin the Year with Care... Cafe for some company and care.
