The fascist right-wing attacks on abortion are an attempt to relegate women to incubators and keep us out of the public sphere. While women and girls are the targets of these bans, people of all gender identities are affected, and millions are now living without access to legal abortion as a result. Tens of thousands of people have already been forced to carry unwanted pregnancies and give birth against their will - but even one is too many! LGBTQ rights - especially trans rights - are being systematically stripped away. Access to reproductive and gender-affirming healthcare is life-saving, so bans on this care are an attack on our lives! This violent, christo-fascist assault on abortion rights will not be defeated by hope and prayers. This heteropatriarchal vision of the world where women and LGBTQ people are absent from public life must not come to pass.
