Oakland Walks Out on Fascism: Dimond Park to Fruitvale & MacArthur
The Free America Walkout is a coordinated, nationwide act of nonviolent noncooperation. Our message: This all stops when enough of us say no. We reject normalized authoritarianism, and we can prove it without violence.
At 2:00 pm, we will step away from work, school, and commerce time, so our refusal becomes visible together.

- 2:00 - 2:30 Meet in Dimond Park, at the picnic area in the center of the park, nearest the restrooms. You can make a protest sign (we'll have some materials on hand), or bring your own.
- 2:30 Walk 0.4 mile to Fruitvale & MacArthur.
- 2:45 - 3:30 Visibility protest at Fruitvale & MacArthur letting folks know we are walking out on fascism.
If you prefer, you can meet us at Fruitvale and MacArthur at 2:45.
This is a visibility event. Be aware of pedestrians and drivers; let them pass freely. Be safe; stay on the sidewalk.
~15 of us can participate by holding up huge letters to spell WALK OUT ON FASCISM.
Note that Oakland Students & Families will be hosting a walkout event meeting in Dimond Park at the same time, at the Scout Hut. We are meeting at the picnic tables east of the Dimond Tot Lot.
