Ontario (CD35) Free America Walkout and Walk-In
.png)
One year into Trump’s second regime, we face an escalating fascist threat: raids on our communities, troops occupying our cities, attacks on immigrants, families torn apart, mass surveillance, and terror used to keep us silent. It is time for our communities to escalate as well.
2025 was a year of marches that showed our collective strength. And as the threats grow, our movement must evolve and escalate. Trump and his allies have already made clear that a second term would bring a deeper wave of misogyny, racism, xenophobia, and violence than the first.
On January 20, we call on our communities to organize teams, call your neighbors and classmates, and turn your back and walk out on fascism. Walk out to block the normal routines of power, and make the stakes real.
The walkout is a protest and a promise. In the face of fascism, we will be ungovernable. Business as usual is not going to keep us safe.
The movement for impeachment is gaining major momentum, and not a moment too soon. The time to demand Congress match their outrage with action is NOW!
Rep. Norma Torres has been fighting for us in D.C. and we must show her office that we've got her back and that we will organize to fight back here in our community. We'll let them know that we are ready to work with her to save our country.

★ We walk away from fascism. ★
★ We walk towards a Free America. ★
★ We fight for a future that belongs to us all. ★
★ Everybody in, nobody out. ★
★ Welcome to the Free America Walkout ★
The plan: Walk Out of anywhere & everywhere at 2 p.m. and then come straight to the Walk-In to Exercise Our Rights to Gather!
We will be outside the congressional office of Rep. Norma Torres for a teach-in and community discussion on the policies we need, the actions we can take and how we strengthen the movement to fight back.
Update 1.19.26 after a prep meeting with Rep. Torres' office on Friday:
Safety protocol means her office and staff will be in lock down while the action is taking place. We have assured respect for the property and the other tenants of the building.
We are holding a teach-in conversation about how to direct our energy here locally to build to win the congressional seats needed in California, but also across the country.
That means working to build up our region of organizations, resistance groups, and direct outreach to our neighbors to build resilience for this long battle. And to build electoral skills that can win so many of the local seats that should be flipped.
It has only been a year.
Tuesday's action can help us begin to build the community power that is needed for us to resist and end the regime and all its harmful policies.
We're keeping the event outside Rep. Torres' office to acknowledge that every moment she is in DC, we are counting on her to keep fighting for us. And, to reiterate that the stakes are too high for business as usual: we have three+ congressional reps whose districts include our IE neighbors who are absolutely in support of Trump’ policies. They are the ones that need to hear from community relentlessly, and whose challengers need all the support and work we can give leading up to midterms. And it all starts now.
Tuesday's Plan:
1pm - staging and strategize for keeping everyone safe
2pm - walkout begins
3-445pm - teach-in, issues briefings, organizations offering calls to action
445-5pm walk-in with documents/flyers/talking points and words of encouragement to the staff and Rep. Torres - with a door dash type delivery leaving it at the door 🥰
Let's make this a safe, family-friendly event❤️💜, kids are welcome, music, song, art and love are encouraged.
Let's use this opportunity and call to action to deepen our resolve to resist and to demand accountability from those that are overtly supporting all the worst things we are seeing across the country and in our communities.
Rep. Torres is not the target, she needs to know we've got her back here at home while she is out in DC. And we've got to show her staff how many of us are willing to fight here at home right alongside them! ✌️✊️
