Our Rights - Our Fight
We are hosting a family friendly, 1 mile march along a route with ties to past and present, influential Women of San Antonio. This will be our first event, so we are starting out small this year, but already planning for future marches! This march is inclusive and welcoming to all. Every voice NEEDS to be represented and heard. Please, consider joining us in protest, solidarity, community, resistance, or whatever calls you to march. Our immediate future, and the future of generations to follow, are depending on us to be the catalyst of change.
More info:
We will meet at Travis Park starting at 10:00 am. Please report for the march, no later than 10:30 am, so we can cover any last minute route changes, speeches, etc. We will step off at 11:00 am and will have a police escort, provided by SAPD. If you are marching as a family and bringing the kiddos along, please plan accordingly, ie, strollers, snacks, drinks, etc. The march route is pretty straight forward, so it should be easy enough for all to navigate. There is one area, towards the end of the route, right around Dough Pizzeria, where we will need to utilize the sidewalks, as there is construction at street level. We will need to be mindful of other pedestrians utilizing the sidewalk and be respectful of our cities businesses. The march will end in the Yanaguana Play Area, specifically for the kiddos that are marching along with us! There are several dining options within the Hemisfair area for post march eats!!! I will update our route, as needed. And, keep you up to date on any other info pertaining to the march!! Thanks, y'all!!
Parking Info:
Please check out the provided link for your best parking options. I would suggest picking 2 options for parking, as we do have a lot of construction going on downtown, so a lot may be closed, or full. Please, have a back up plan!
