Peoria, IL - Free America: Stars and Stripes & Equal Rights

On July 4th, Peoria 50501, in solidarity with the national Women's March, is hosting a Rally for Freedom at Upper Laura Bradley Park, with a focus on the ongoing fight for freedom, for all groups and all individuals, within the United States.  On this Independence Day, we will stand together to celebrate diversity and uplift marginalized communities, who are particularly under attack from the Trump Administration and a complicit Congress.

   

From 8:30am to 10:00am bring your family and friends to join us for coffee, music, and camaraderie, as we rally together with a shared belief of mutual respect and equal liberty for all individuals in the "Land of the Free".

   

   

Independence Day is about the fight for freedom. The American Revolution was a stand against tyranny and kings. That same spirit has lived on—from the Boston Tea Party to the Underground Railroad, from Stonewall to the Civil Rights Movement.

   

 This July 4th weekend, while the U.S. marks Independence Day, we in the Greater Peoria area will join so many others across the country to  stand for real freedom and build a vision of a Free America brick by brick. 

   

   

   

   

   

   

They want us scared, divided, and alone. They don’t want us to dream about freedom. But that’s exactly what we have to do.

   

Peoria 50501 is branch of the 50501 Movement, a grassroots national effort made up of everyday Americans from all walks of life who stand for democracy, and who stand against the authoritarian actions of the Trump Administration and an all-too compliant Congress. We are a peaceful, nonviolent resistance movement, calling on our government to uphold the Constitution and end Executive overreach. We are of, by, and for the people!
