Pittsfield is Marching Forward

We're organizing a March on January 18th with Women's March.

A march is planned for January 18 from 11am-12:30pm. Meet at Park Square by 11, by  11:15 begin the walk down North Street *sidewalk only*. We will walk to Dotties and  circle back to Park Square. Once we return to Park Square, some people will speak to the collective.

Anyone may remain at Park Square in solidarity with others if they choose not do engage in the walk.

Just an FYI, people are most welcome to bring signs and noisemakers, but signs cannot be on stakes. Pittsfield has a law about this. Also, people are welcome to bring art supplies to make additional signs while we are there.

🚨‼️🚨‼️ IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE MAYORS OFFICE:

The march scheduled for January 18th, 2025, at 11:00am is approved as a sidewalk march only followed by a rally at Park Square which will conclude no later than 12:30pm on the same day. As North Street will remain open to traffic during the march, participants should ‼️remain on the sidewalk‼️ and avoid entering the roadway unless utilizing a crosswalk to safely cross the street or unless instructed otherwise by a member of the Pittsfield Police Department. I’ve also been asked to share a reminder that the 🚨use of sticks, boards, or poles during these activities is strictly prohibited.🚨 (cardboard & posterboard are fine)
