[Poughkeepsie, NY] May Day 2026: War Remembrance, Antiwar, Communities not Cages
On May Day, we stop:
No School. No Work. No Shopping. We are taking collective action and demanding a nation that puts workers over billionaires.
On MayDay evening, we gather at a peaceful venue in Poughkeepsie to share and to honor those slain in this current War, have an Antiwar Rally and raise our voices for our immigrant neighbors.
We will join together to mourn and honor those dead from this war, raise our voices (and our solidarity fist in the air), and honor those slain by ICE. We'll end our evening together by leaving our Vigils and go out onto the sidewalks along the major city thoroughfare to show our faces and our colors, and call for the passerbys to join us.
