Solidarity with Free America Walkout

UPDATE: Please note that time and place have been changed in order to combine with another solidarity protest happening in Waterloo.

For too long we have watched as our neighbors to the south have been taken hostage by Trump and his goons. This known felon has bypassed the system of checks and balances that had made that government work. He and those that have put him in power are creating a nation of fear and hate, with corruption happening at every step of the way.

On Tuesday, January 20th (which is also the anniversary of the original Women's March), we will stand in solidarity with the millions of Americans who move to lawfully impeach Trump and his senior officials. We as Canadians are aware that MAGA is not the majority but instead a hateful minority, sabotaging a once friendly nation. Our ally has been taken over and is being violently destroyed from the inside. We can no longer watch unmoved and immobilized.

This is a peaceful protest and I have already gotten approval with Bylaws and Waterloo Regional Police. Please dress warmly as it is likely to be cold. I have shortened the description of the event to one hour due to the weather, but will stay longer if it seems appropriate to the situation at the time.
