TACO Bake Sale Along Flag Relay Route in Burlington

We're right along Route 7, which means that we have front row seats to the "Relay for Democracy" this Saturday, when the American flag will be driven along Route 7 from the northern to the southern border of Vermont.

To support the relay and express our refusal to glorify any leader of this democratic country with an authoritarian-style parade, we're holding a TACO BAKE SALE in our front yard from 12:00-3:00 pm.

Come chow down and ridicule our wannabe Dear Leader at the same time!

We'll have a build-your-own vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free taco bar, a build-your-own cupcake bar (you choose the flavor, the frosting, and the sprinkles), and lemonade. (On the local listserve I called it "pink kittycat lemonade" but you all know what it really is).

We're at 309 South Willard Street, right next to the Champlain College dorm with the tower. Come grab some lunch on your way to the waterfront event and/or cheer for the flag as it goes by our neighborhood (probably between 1 and 2).

The most important thing is to come and and celebrate the true meaning of our flag, but if you can donate something in return for the food that would be great - we'll give everything we raise to groups that are challenging violations of due process and civil rights.
