Topeka Kansas Capitol - KS50501 / Kick Out the Clowns: End The Greatest Shit Show on Earth

*In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings, and we reject demanding costly birthday D.C. military parades while programs are cut, and Veterans suffer. 

For this “KICK OUT THE CLOWNS / NO KINGS” national day of action, we call for MASS mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. This is the day we GATHER across the nation, and in Kansas… TOGETHER, in ONE location, our STATE CAPITOL, so our power & numbers cannot be denied!

Note: We encourage Attendees to arrive early to Participate in Juneteenth Festivities. The Parade starts at 11am at the Capitol, with Car Show to follow, at the Judicial Building. THEN, at 3:00, join Women’s March & Kansas50501 on the South Steps of the Capitol building, to protest this administration’s overreach and atrocities. 

We start with Gathering Music of Resistance, and “Hands On” information/action tables (write to your representatives, learn about current legislation, and more). In honor of Flag Day, small flags will be available to label and plant for individuals / programs affected by the abuses of this administration. We will have scheduled Speakers (approx 45 mins) Together we will march the downtown streets, and around the Capitol. Those who would prefer, may also support Marchers by driving the route, honking in support). We return to the Capitol for Open Mic, 10th Street Chants, and more Protest Music. ** If able, bring canned food to donate, we will be collecting and distributing to area food banks, as well as providing QR codes to donate to various area organizations.

Note: There is a “Rolling Protest” being organized across Kansas on this same day… Protest in your own area earlier in the day, and join a Car Caravan, or request a seat on a “Freedom Van” or bus, and roll over to show up in HUGE numbers at the Capitol… 3:00 we GATHER TOGETHER. We’ve watched as those in power have cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, deported American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.
