Willimantic Boom Box Parade Pro-Democracy Contingent

Willimantic's totally unique 4th of July Boombox Parade has marched down Main Street for about 40 years. It is a "people's parade" in which anyone can join, either with a group or just as an individual marcher. It attracts thousands of marchers and spectators representing dozens of different groups and points of view. This year there will be a very large Pro-Democracy/No Kings contingent in the parade, which everyone is invited to join. Signs, banners, costumes, floats noisemakers, musical instruments, etc. are all welcome. It should be remembered that this is a family friendly event with lots of children present, so obscenities should be avoided on signs, etc.
The Parade begins promptly at 11:00 AM. Groups marching assemble on Jillson Square starting at about 10 o'clock. Individuals can also join in the march at any point along the route.
