{Women of the World Walk Out/March, Long Island} Free America Walkout

The women of the world have been kicking butt and taking names all year across the globe fighting against fascism. From America, Sudan, Palestine, Congo, Venezuela and more. And our elected officials have continued to fail us, and the rest of the world consistently. Particularly Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. From raging Islamophobia and Zionism, to failing to keep their own party inline on the shutdown, to just utterly weak and feckless resistance to Donald Trump's fascist power grab. So on the 20th of January, after we walk out of work at 2pm, the Working People's Liberation Corps will gather with the amazing women of long Island who represent many different places and causes from across the globe, but all united against fascism. At 3pm, we will gather on the corner of Ruland road, and Baylis road along the sidewalks of Ruland, and Pinelawn in Melville and at 325pm we will march to Schumer and Gillibrand offices in Melville (145 pinelawn rd, melville) and demand they learn some humanity and how to actually fight fascism or step down and be replaced by true speakers for the people, accountable to the people.


One year into Trump’s second regime, we face an escalating fascist threat: raids on our communities, troops occupying our cities, attacks on immigrants, families torn apart, mass surveillance, and terror used to keep us silent.  It is time for our communities to escalate as well. 

2025 was a year of marches that showed our collective strength. And as the threats grow, our movement must evolve and escalate. Trump and his allies have already made clear that a second term would bring a deeper wave of misogyny, racism, xenophobia, and violence than the first.

On January 20, we call on our communities to organize teams, call your neighbors and classmates, and turn your back and walk out on fascism. Host mutual aid planning meetings, organize public service, but walk out to block the normal routines of power, and make the stakes real. This is a protest and a promise.  In the face of fascism, we will be ungovernable.
