WOMEN’S/PEOPLE's MARCH Colorado Springs

We all march for different reasons, but we march for the same cause: to defend our rights and our future.

If you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours, that books belong in libraries, not on bonfires, that healthcare is a right, not a privilege for the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and standing up to sustain democracy; or if you want an economy that works for the people who power it—then this march is for you.

The People’s March is about one thing: our power.

It’s a bold demonstration of the resilience of resistance:

  • We march to unite the people who’ve been the backbone of resistance for generations—and to welcome even more
  • We march to remind civil servants they answer to us
  • We march to inspire, energize, and drive change long after the day is done.

This is our moment to remind Washington elites — and Americans everywhere — where the power truly lives: with the people.

Let’s make it count.

Hi Everyone,

Update: We will transition to fully online for the speeches, if you are in Old Colorado City/can safely make it to Bancroft Park we will have a meet up in Bancroft Park at 11:15am after the virtual Women’s/People’s March. Refer below for an updated schedule. Please share your posters over Zoom!

Just wanted to drop you a line about the Colorado Springs Women’s/People’s March. We are marching for reproductive rights, women’s rights, human rights, civil rights & LGBTQ rights, while working to get people to stand up and get involved in their community. We need to speak up in the face of fascism, never cede ground without a fight. Make your voices heard.

If you’re a troll on Zoom, anti-women, anti-choice, anti-trans you will be removed from the event.

It will be very cold, so dress warmly and bring a warm drink and/or a cold drink so that you can have a robust voice for the in person March/Protest. I’ve included a sample of chants below.

Email me if you would like to get involved and take action locally for progressive causes. There are various organizations that you can sign up with to volunteer. We are grateful for Pikes Peak League of Women Voters sponsoring this event, they are non partisan. What is said by our speakers today is not endorsed or supported by our sponsors.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
