๐ŸŒฟ Marin Seniors for Peace โ€“ San Anselmo Chapter ๐ŸŒฟ
TUESDAY WEEKLY GATHERING
San Anselmo Memorial Park โ€“ The Elders Garden
Every Tuesday | 12โ€“2 PM
Beginning Tuesday, July 23

A Living, Breathing Ritual of Community โ€” Join Us to Make Marin County Safer for Seniors!

We're launching something beautiful and deeply needed in Marin: a weekly gathering of elders, allies, musicians, and mutual aid champions dedicated to community resilience and senior safety.

It all begins this Tuesday, July 23 at 12 PM in The Elders Garden at Memorial Park, San Anselmo.

This isn't about one person's ideas โ€” it's about San Anselmo coming together to support shared community goals. Randy Chase will host a short 15-minute program to help guide the energy each week, but the real work and joy comes from you โ€” the people of Marin building something together.

We're not here for "Randy Time."
We're here because Randy's here to organize with you โ€” not for you โ€” to spark connection, creativity, and action toward a Marin that is safer, more just, and more joyful for our elders.

๐Ÿ” THIS WEEK: FREE WELLNESS ASSESSMENTS

A local physician, newly retired and now living in San Anselmo, will be offering free intake wellness assessments for seniors. If capacity allows, weโ€™ll also offer support to associate members (under 62) who are part of the movement.

---

๐Ÿ  HOUSING STORY & COMMUNITY RESPONSE

Randy will share his personal story this first week โ€” what brought him to San Anselmo and why safe housing for elders isn't just a policy issue, it's about human dignity right here in our community.

Sometimes the best organizers are the ones who understand the issue from the inside. Randy's been sleeping rough while building this movement, and that's exactly why we need each other.

This is what mutual aid looks like: we show up for our neighbors, and we don't wait for someone else to solve it.

---

โœ๏ธ SIGN-MAKING STATION (New Every Week)

Every Tuesday we'll make signs with a bold, rotating weekly message that speaks to elder dignity, housing justice, and community safety.

This week's message: "SAFE HOUSING = ELDER DIGNITY"

๐ŸŽจ Create your sign at the gathering โ€” we'll provide the materials.
๐Ÿก Then take it home and plant it in your yard or window to help spread the message throughout your neighborhood.
๐Ÿ“ข Week by week, street by street, we'll grow a visible, grassroots movement for change.

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS

๐ŸŒฎ Taco Tuesdays โ€“ Come hungry and ready to connect.
๐ŸŽถ Shared Music & Instruments โ€“ Bring an instrument or borrow one. We jam, we learn, we pass it down.
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Skill Sharing & Cross-Generational Mentorship โ€“ Elders teach. Youth learn. Then the cycle reverses.
๐Ÿค Mutual Aid in Action โ€“ We take care of each other, materially and emotionally.
๐Ÿ’ฌ Community Conversation โ€“ This is mostly about socializing and organizing together โ€” neighbors getting to know neighbors. That's where the real magic is.

SHOW UP & BE A PART OF IT

๐Ÿ“ The Elders Garden at Memorial Park, San Anselmo
๐Ÿ•› Every Tuesday, 12โ€“2 PM
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Launching July 23

We're making Marin safer for seniors โ€” and that starts with us.
This is your invitation to build something beautiful โ€” with tacos, music, wellness, and real human connection.

---

We don't need a stage. We need a garden. And that garden grows stronger with every person who joins us.
Let's organize San Anselmo โ€” and all of Marin โ€” into the community our elders deserve.
